### About Saveo
Welcome to Saveo, a premium personal financial management application developed and operated by Saveo Technologies Inc., a Canadian corporation. Saveo provides intelligent financial tracking, budgeting, and AI-powered insights to help you manage your personal finances effectively.
### Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Saveo mobile application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
### Scope of Service
Saveo provides:
- Secure bank account connection and transaction synchronization
- Intelligent transaction categorization and budgeting tools
- AI-powered financial insights and personalized recommendations
- Interactive financial chat assistant for personalized guidance
- Comprehensive spending analytics and financial reporting
### Age Requirements
**Minimum Age for Service Use**:
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use Saveo
- While our app has a 4+ age rating on app stores for technical compatibility, it is designed for and intended to be used by individuals 13 years of age and older
- Our service is NOT directed to children under 13 years of age
**Enhanced Requirements for Financial Features**:
- Users under 18 require parental or guardian consent to access financial features and connect bank accounts
- Financial account connections require users to be of legal age (18+ in most jurisdictions) or have proper parental consent
- Users under 13 are prohibited from using the service and any such accounts will be immediately terminated
**COPPA Compliance**:
- If we discover a user is under 13, we will immediately terminate their account and delete all collected information
- Parents who believe their child under 13 has created an account should contact us immediately at privacy@saveo.ca

### Subscription Service Model
Saveo operates on a **subscription-based service model** with the following terms:
#### Free Trial
- **Trial Period**: New users receive a 7-day free trial
- **Full Access**: All features are available during the trial period
- **No Payment Required**: No payment information required to start your trial
- **Trial Cancellation**: You may cancel at any time during the trial period without charge
- **Automatic Conversion**: Trial automatically converts to paid subscription unless cancelled
#### Subscription Plans and Pricing
**Annual Subscription**:
- **United States**: $59.99 USD per year
- **Canada**: $59.99 CAD per year
- **Payment**: Billed annually through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- **Best Value**: Equivalent to approximately $5.00 per month
**Monthly Subscription**:
- **United States**: $12.99 USD per month
- **Canada**: $4.99 CAD per month
- **Payment**: Billed monthly through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- **Flexibility**: Can be cancelled or modified at any time
#### Subscription Features
All subscription plans include:

- All future feature updates and enhancements
#### Payment Processing
- **Payment Methods**: Payments processed through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
- **Recurring Billing**: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- **Price Changes**: We may adjust pricing with 30 days advance notice
- **Taxes**: Applicable taxes may be added based on your location
- **Currency**: Prices displayed in local currency (USD/CAD) based on your App Store region
### Subscription Management
#### Cancellation Policy
- **Cancel Anytime**: You may cancel your subscription at any time
- **How to Cancel**: Cancel through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings
- **Effective Date**: Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- **Access During Notice Period**: You retain full access until subscription expires
- **No Partial Refunds**: No refunds for partial subscription periods
- **Reactivation**: You may reactivate your subscription at any time
#### Refund Policy
- **Trial Period**: No charges during the 7-day free trial

## User Responsibilities and Conduct
### Account Security
You are responsible for:

We use Plaid Technologies, Inc. ("Plaid") as our authorized third-party processor for secure bank account connections:

- Support for thousands of financial institutions across Canada and the US
**Your Consent to Plaid**:
By connecting your accounts, you:
- Grant Saveo permission to access your financial data through Plaid
- Authorize Plaid to retrieve and process your financial information
- Agree to be bound by Plaid's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- Understand that your use of Plaid's services is governed by their policies
**Data Collection Through Plaid**:
- Account information (account type, balance, account and routing numbers)
- Transaction history and details
- Account holder identity information

### Data Usage and Accuracy

### Account Suspension or Termination

- Your account remains inactive for an extended period
- We discontinue the Service (with 30 days notice)

Upon account termination or deletion:

### Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months prior to the claim (or $100 if you have not paid for the Service)
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- We are not responsible for losses caused by third-party service failures
- Some jurisdictions do not allow liability limitations, so these may not apply to you
### Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Saveo from any claims, losses, or damages arising from:

2. **Mediation**: If direct resolution fails, we prefer mediation through a mutually agreed mediator
3. **Arbitration**: Binding arbitration may be required for certain disputes as permitted by law
4. **Court Proceedings**: As a last resort, through Ontario courts
### Class Action Waiver
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
