It Started at Western University
As a student at Western University, I witnessed firsthand how financial stress affected my peers and their academic journey. Despite being in one of Canada's most prosperous provinces, many students struggled with basic financial literacy and lacked the tools to manage their money effectively.
I realized that traditional banking apps were built for experienced users, with complex interfaces and overwhelming features. Young Canadians needed something different – something intuitive, secure, and educational.
That's when the idea for Saveo was born. I wanted to create more than just another finance app; I wanted to build a platform that would genuinely impact people's lives by making financial wellness accessible, understandable, and achievable for everyone.
